Transportation Access

By Bus

The ”ST. EIRINI” bus stop does not have a kerb extension or pavement. The step-free entrance of ISAP Irini Station is located to the right (as you exit the bus) via a short, steep ramp and then a long ramp with a very gentle gradient. This ramp is accompanied by a staircase with 32 steps and an intermediate landing, with handrails on both sides.

ACCESS (Line 1 towards Kifisia)

Access by Foot

From the OAKA area, access to the platform is provided via the station’s subway passage, with step-free access.

Pavement Ramps

The nearest ramp to access this platform is located at 217 Neratziotissis Str. It has a steep gradient, is relatively narrow, and lacks warning bollards on both sides. It provides access to the platform through a long ramp with handrails at two heights on both sides, which leads to the underground passage of ISAP Irini Station. Next to the ramp there is also a staircase with handrails on both sides, without anti-slip strips on the steps. It consists of 32 steps with one intermediate landing.

Με Λεωφορείο

It is located on the station’s service road and has stairs with handrails on both sides. It leads to the station entrance, which is in the ground-level passage, next to the Stationmaster’s office. From there, to the left through the passage, is the lift towards Kifissia.

The station has an accessible WC located in the underground passage area that includes:

INTERIOR

  • Like all metro stations in Athens, ISAP Irini station is fully accessible for wheelchair users.
  • Boarding is recommended from the first carriage, as there is no railing obstructing entry and, if necessary, direct communication with the driver is possible.
  • The station has three platforms, but the central one serves only the direction towards Piraeus.
  • The station has a relatively large gap towards the Kifisia direction, without a portable ramp available and a relatively small gap towards the Piraeus direction.
  • If you wish, you can request assistance from station staff by using the intercom pillars located next to the ticket validation machines.
  • The station has stairs with handrails on both sides, with anti-slip strips on each step, leading to each platform, as well as escalators leading only to the central platform.
